After some weeks of turbulence around the U.S. potentially introducing significant import tariffs of varying degrees on all shipments into the United States, we now have news that there has been a pause to the plan. The President has announced a 90-day suspension to the higher tariffs for over 75 countries, however there is still a blanket 10% levy on all imports to the U.S. plus other exemptions where higher duties may be incurred.

With this period of stability being announced, trade to the U.S. from the UK and EU has resumed as normal. As such, vessel space for plant and agricultural machinery to the states is at a premium.
